Damn. She's one lucky girl can! We ran the SCMS last year, and she's got like 2 or 3 photos taken by them! And the recent Jurong Lake Run, there's one with her in it as well.

Whereas for me, I got none in both events. Awwww.. Why oh why...?? :(

Okay, I admit I'm that photogenic enough. Sigh. :(

Did not participate in the inaugural Jurong Lake Run last year due to the not-so-nice running tee. But hey, I was there this year! YOOHOO! The running singlet was not very nice (it looks almost exactly like the ITE's running singlet for SCSM 2007 - I suspect it's from the same apparel brand =X); I was actually aiming for the finisher's shirt instead. Hehe. =X Well the reasons for participating are - to challenge myself; and because I thought Romeo Tan might be there too! Okay, he wasn't there eventually as he was filming on that day. :( Oh, and another reason for participating is pretty obvious, that is, the location is very convenient for me - right at Jurong East! Geez. :P

"Dragged" PE to accompany me for the run. Errr.. well, not really drag.. I did ask her very nicely okay. No force, no force. ^_^ I was worried she might not want to participate initially because she lives so far away. But thank goodness, she did agree eventually.

Alright, back to the actual day..

Because it was raining for six consecutive days, I was really afraid the rain might continue for the 7th day. I happened to wake up when brother went to market, and guess what, I heard the sound of heavy rain! Was thinking at that moment, "it's gone.. there goes my first JLR." Back to sleep, and it was still raining when I woke up. Then I remembered, the best way to know if the run will go on, is to check Facebook. Went in, and was assured that they will "make sure the run will go on smoothly". And so, I went to wash up and such.

Walked towards the bus stop to head for JE interchange, and ran for 98 because I thought I was running late (I was aiming for 334, but I missed by a mere 30 seconds!). Then, upon reaching the interchange, PE wasn't there yet. Sigh. Made me used up a bit of my energy so fast. :( lol. =X I thought the road towards the Science Centre was closed. Argh, damn. Had I know earlier that it's not, I would've taken 198 there straight. :(

Anyway, thank goodness the rain has stopped before the run starts. Had to run with care though, as the road were wet and slippery. Was really afraid I might fell and injured myself. Thank goodness, I completed the run safe and sound. Have absolutely no idea how I fared, because unlike SCMS, we couldn't check our results. But I guess should be a few minutes more than SCMS 2011, but less than 1hr 30 mins. This is considerably good already, considering the fact that I did not train at all. :)

And because of not training, I'm suffering once again - for 5 days. Looks like lesson was not learnt yet. =X

Oh by the way, I thought this is really lame. When I said that, I meant it really is, okay. We were asked to select the size of the finisher's tee during registration. However, upon collecting the tee after the run, I was told, there's no more size XS. Like, wtf? Hello, you told us to select the size, yet there isn't any left for us? Then in the very first place, might as well don't ask, no? No wonder there's always complaints about the finisher's tees during the running events. I mean, shouldn't you put in every effort to make sure we get our rightful stuffs? There's no indications on our running bibs, or other forms of indications on the size we chose. How are you then to know the size we've chosen? This is Singapore. Don't you know there are a lot of dishonest people around? -_- Okay, shan't say further.
